Neuromodulators (Such as Botox)

Neuromodulators remove the lines, not your expressions.

Neuromodulators such as Botox

Neuromodulators are well-known products such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. They are very similar but from different companies. All of them target the underlying cause of wrinkles; repeated muscle contractions from frowning, smiling, concentrating and squinting. For example; When you frown or concentrate, the muscles between your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold (known as the 11’s). And when you squint or smile, the muscles around your eyes contract and cause crow’s feet.

These particular muscles are injected with a small amount of the chosen neuromodulator. This decreases the activity the muscle itself without changing the look or movement of the rest of your face. A “frozen” look is not what anyone is looking for. Untreated muscles still work normally, so you can continue to express feelings naturally. It’s the lines that disappear, not your expressions.

The common areas treated are:

  • frown lines or 11’s
  • crow’s feet
  • forehead lines
  • eyebrow lift
  • upper or lower lip vertical lines
  • corners of the mouth to decrease downward turning
  • bunny lines of the nose
  • gummy smile
  • the master muscle for clenching or slimming the jawline
  • the dimpling of the chin
  • for medical reasons of chronic migraines and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
